Hey everyone!
So I finished my Independent Study Project on the Bushbucks in the Okavango Panhandle and now I'm off exploring. I'll let you know more about my project later but I don't have much time. I'll just give you a quick update on what my adventures in Southern Africa. I left for Kasane 2 days ago and hung out there for the night with a couple friends. Yesterday I entered Zambia and went to Victoria Falls again (but this time from a different perspective....last time I saw the falls from Zimbabwe). Once again it was amazing. I also bungi jumped off the bridge there- 111 meter fall!- and it was sooo much fun. I also did the swing (jumping feet first and then swinging right above the Zambezi) and zip-lined across the river. Great experience. Today my adventure continues as I take a long bus ride to the capital of Namibia. From there I will hopefully catch a train to Swakopmund. This area has some fabulous opportunities for thrill- its right near the huge sand dunes and the ocean. I must go but I love you and I hope everyone is doing well!

Amazing!! With you in spirit! All my love, Mom XXXOOO

Good for you Laura. It is such fun to think a relative of ours is having all these experiences. Stay Well. Love, Aunt Ila
ReplyDeleteHow far across is the Zambezi? Sounds really fun! But, jumping off a bridge? I'm not just too old, I am just too much of a scaredy cat. Glad you're having such a great time. You lucky!
