I am quite excited to begin my study abroad adventure. I know very little about what the semester is actually going to be like. I imagine that I'll be swinging around on giraffe's necks and refereeing games of tug-of-war between two competitive teams of elephants, but I feel that shouldn't get my hopes up. I have chosen not to be too concerned about what I will be doing in Botswana until I arrive; I actually enjoy surprises quite a bit. Until then, I will enjoy the luxuries of sleeping in a comfy bed and taking hot showers, as soon they will be a thing of the past. Its hard to believe that I am so close to being in Africa, a place that I have always dreamed of going. The thought gives me shivers. Or maybe I'm just shivering because my mom keeps the house cold enough for penguins to be comfortable. At least I'll be in a much warmer climate in a few days.
Wish me luck on my packing, I'll definitely need it!

That's so cool! It will be fun to read about everything you are experiencing. Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks for the updates, we really enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteI thought you might make your famous chocolate chip bars for your nephews.
Don't let the misquitoes get the best of you. Since you didn't mention the rash, I assume that problem is resolved. One month gone already!
Hope you enjoyed your 21st birthday. Love you,
Sharon & Bill
